Lindsey Jacobellis

To say Jacobellis, the ‘06 silver medalist, had a great ‘09 season would be an understatement. She had a better season than any other woman competing in SBX in the world and has the World Cup SBX title to prove it. Jacobellis kicked the 2009 World Cup series off with a win in Argentina. Her next set of podiums came during a two day stop in Bad Gastein where she finished third and then rallied the following day for her second win of the season. Jacobellis then reeled in her fifth X Games gold medal before making her way to Vancouver where she took the 16th World Cup win of her career, marking her as the most successful snowboardcross athlete – male or female – in the world.

This season, Jacobellis has one World Cup win and recently won another X Games gold medal in snowboardcross, showing she’s on track to peak in Vancouver where she’ll be favored to win.
