During the 2006 Olympics in Torino, which was the first Olympics I covered, it was fun to tote along my camera and snap shots of all the action. Today, I decided to post a few from the archive here at the Stowe Reporter.
- Slovenian ski jumper, Rok Bencovic, soars over the Olympic rings during the men’s individual large hill competition.
- Norwegian Aksel Lund Svindal ended up in a tie for 6th with Miller.
- Bode Miller comes through the finish in 6th in the men’s giant slalom.
- A gaggle of cards passes by during the Opening Ceremony.
- The slalom hill in Sestrieres under lights for the second run.
- Chip Knight, my husband, looks to the stands after finishing his second run in the men’s slalom.
- A shot from the stands at the Closing Ceremonies in the city of Torino. This year, I will be skipping the Opening and Closing Ceremony.
